Beginnings
Today marks the first day that I will begin building Cauto in public! Now, what is Cauto? Well, it is a secret, sort of. I like the build-in-public approach where creators will actively post online about the current developments, but I want to keep the company's premise unknown until the initial launch.
From now on, I will discuss technical decisions and system design as we approach the initial launch. We are currently building this application in Next.js and hosting it on Vercel. The product will be in the education industry, and I feel we are building something that will fill a large void in the sector we are targeting.
And we have already pivoted.
Yes, We changed business ideas for Cauto. Shocker. Our previous idea was making a code graphing software that would help visualize code and make onboarding onto new projects easier. It turns out that this was extremely complicated and was already in the market. I should have done more research!
Not only was this product already a reality, there are many other solutions to this problem that are being solved by AI. Why look through a giant graph when I can just ask an LLM about my code base? The UX is better, less of a learning curve, and they are easier to make. Not to mention that LLMs will probably get better in the coming years.
Stay tuned
I am excited to start talking about Cauto in public, not only to get feedback but also to stay accountable! Stay tuned for more!
